My work/life balance was non-existent. I was exhausted and looking for a solution to help remove some of the daily chaos so I could spend more time working on my business instead of in it. I always thought my business was not large enough to consider such an investment, but I was wrong. I had been an accomplished executive. I had built businesses and took businesses that were in trouble and turned them around. I had had a whole career of moving organizations forward. In doing so, I felt that I was pretty successful…A lot of institutional knowledge, a lot of strong background. But, as someone who was a results-driven person, I may not have always been the easiest person to work with. So understanding that I needed to do some self-reflection on how to be a better boss, how to be a better friend, how to be a better partner, how to be a better father. I needed to find a way to be more open to others who maybe weren’t as results-driven as I was.
